Welcome to reboundhounds, Karen! Coincidently, I recently began needle felting as a hobby! My first creations were hedgehogs (easy enough for a beginner), but when I tried to make a dachshund, things got a little out of hand and I ended up with a sort of donkey like beast!!!

Cheers,
The Rebound Hounds

P.S. If you know of anyone who would like to enter our disabled dog costume contest, please send them our way!

Hi,
That is really funny! A donkey like beast! I do not know of anyone right now, but I will keep it in mind! My sister had a Dachshund many years ago that was playfully jumped on by a huge dog, and she ended up eventually losing the complete use of her back legs, basically became paralyzed the vet telling her she would never walk again! My sister made her a soft blanket sling which she hooked to a leash like thing, and she kept walking her everywhere, the dog would drag her hind legs, until one day the dog began putting her feet up and trying to use them, and eventually she began to walk, until she was able to walk completely on her own like nothing ever happened! It was an amazing site, the vet was surprised a few months later when he saw her! She lived to be an old lady, walking normal until the day she passed away~

Wow that's awesome what your doing for disabled dogs. My human used to work as a conductor for a railroad so I find your picture to be very funny. (that's probably one of the best costumes I've ever seen.) I'm not disabled and neither is my human so we can't enter, however I had him start me a website where I provide tons of information about dog costume ideas, info, tips and resources. The site needs some work but he did pretty well considering. This is a great place for possible contestants to get ideas for costumes. I can't wait to see who wins! Check out pet costumes dogs love!
